Freeman and Built-rite squared off at Alice Nobile Ice Arena on Sunday, October 25, 2026, and the evening saw Freeman come out on top 8–1. Chad Mingay drew first blood for Freeman in the 1st period, setting the tone for an absolute goal-fest.

Period by period: Freeman took the 1st period by a 1–0 count; Freeman took the 2nd period by a 6–0 count; the teams traded 1 apiece in the 3rd period. At one point Freeman rattled off 7 unanswered goals, a run that had the opposing bench staring at their skates.

On the scoresheet, Cullen Hardman lit the lamp three times — hats (or at least gloves) onto the ice for the hat trick; Jamie Best (1G, 1A) chipped in multi-point nights. The rest of the roster contributed moral support and timely line changes.

Elsewhere: Luke Armour gets the game-winner credited to their name, courtesy of the 2nd period; shots finished Freeman 21, Built-rite 31 — the Freeman netminder was the busier of the two.
